Mevo + and Ipad Battery Life

Has anyone else noticed that when the Mevo + is connected to the Ipad Pro, the battery gets drained extremely fast? I plug my Ipad into a power source while I am using the E6 app and it still drains at a crazy rate. With my Ipad at 100% plugged in, I am lucky to get 2 hours of playtime. Thoughts?

Same here. My 11” M1 iPad Pro battery drains quickly when using FS Golf app.

I have an iPad Pro also and the only time it drains quickly is when I have the screen brightness turned up all the way. I use my mevo+ exclusively outside. When in the yard at home it’s plugged in and at the range with no external battery pack. When at home I connect to a t.v. so the brightness is low but if I don’t use the right power adapter it will still drain. Outside I don’t connect and keep the brightness pretty much all the way up and get maybe an 1 1/2 to 2 hours of time. I use FS golf at the while at the range.

I had the same problem, would get a group playing and it would die before we got 9 holes in. I bought this Anker Portable Charger, USB-C Power Bank 20000mAh with 20W Power Delivery, 525 Power Bank, and now i plug it in after about an hour and I can get 5 hours easy in. probably more. i think it's the same one Flightscope sells, just doesnt have the flightscope sticker on it.

Wait, i misunderstood your problem, but i had the ipad problem as well. buy this as a pass through charger, you can run HDMI, or USB, so connected to projector and tv, and still charge. Dont buy the cheap ones on amazon, get the apple one. i tried the cheap ones and they never worked. Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport AdapterClick image for larger version

I use an iPad Pro from 2021 with 1 TB and today I went to the Range to calibrate the Face Impact Location. The battery of the iPad went much faster down, than the battery of the radar unit. I was surprised. I bought the Anker Powerbank, too - a few month ago. I bought it to expand the time working with the radar unit. Now I will take it for the iPad.

I find the biggest killer of the iPad battery is caused from turning the screen brightness up.

I would say no, the battery level should not affect radar capture. I have run my Mevo + and X3 all the way until dead and it worked fine until shutting off.

I also wanted to note the same issues mentioned above. Just bought the new Mevo+ 2023 with pro package and a brand new iPad Pro 12.9. Everyone says the iPad has a 10 hour battery life but it drains insanely fast with the FS Golf App and Mevo+ connected.

I went outside today for a warm up session before I go to the course for my golf lesson and my iPad Pro went from 69% to the less than 10% warning in less than 40 hits..

I upgraded from a Skytrak and indoor simulator setup to the Mevo+ because I’m in the US military and stationed overseas and we don’t have ceilings tall enough to use indoors. So all my simulator setup is in the basement in boxes and I have to hit outside into a net 😔. So far pretty disappointed with how fast the iPad discharges because my goal is to hit 25 shots with every type of club everyday I’m yet to get close to that.

Really don’t like having to drag out a battery backup or charger every time I use this thing. It’s already hard enough to get time in with the rain here in Europe nearly everyday.

I have a 2022 iPad Pro (M1). Seems to go through about 25-30% of battery per hour when using FS golf / awesome golf. So pretty fast but not 50% in 40 hits. That’s crazy fast - something seems off.

I have my iPad but my issues is that you will the battery power level at 39% and then the radar goes off. It seems that my iPad is not detecting the power levels properly
