FS Golf app - ver. 7.0

A new version of FS Golf has been released. It now includes a new Challenges section and Face Impact data is also available (for those who have paid the fee).
Does anyone know what the significance of the header colour for the data is? See photo.

Have anyone noticed a bug with newest FS golf that when setting a distance between unit and ball. When returning from setup window from dintance setup the software set it back to default. Only way to set something different than default 2.4m is start session from distance setup window. Then during a session setting can be confirmed from setup.




After couple weeks with these newest post impact data firmware/software updates I wouldn’t say that I hate them but at least I would say that old ones were better.



I still get crazy launch angles with driver. Well hit drive can give 26-28 deg. launch angle time to time. Maybe 1-3 of 10 drives get that kind of launch angle. 7-9 drives are normal 10-12 launch angle. RCT ball is in use and setup is exactly like it is always earlier. These problems started right away after post imoact data software/firmware updates.



I don`t know is there some effect because I don`t have impact data add-on but it is hard to justify $499 impact data when there are way much more reliable ways to check impact location. I don`t expect Mevo+ to be 100% accurate on it`s price range so add-on should be included pro package (For example even Trackman won`t show 100% accurately that impact location when we have tested it and verified location with spray or impact tape). If it is an additional Impact data add-on then it should be $150 or $200 but no more than that.

Have any of you noticed a lag when recording video? Not a lag in the video, but the time it takes to get the video done and be ready for the next shot?

I experienced it for the first time Saturday using my iPad as the camera and running the app, and the lag was so bad I basically didn’t get any video. But I decided to chalk that up to low battery - I have decided to attribute any problems to low battery…. But yesterday I used the iPhone for camera and app and while it did much better it seems that there is a serious delay between shots and being ready - or when that little video box pops up on the side.

am I alone, or anyone else experiencing similar

overall I’m pleased with the update.

I wish a future update (are you listening FS?) when exporting video would put the boxes/numbers along the side vertically rather than along the bottom, and allow for most boxes/data to share. Or give us the option to move them around and share more data - even if it covers the golfer if so desired. I usually have so much wasted space

That delay is because the app is downloading/preparing the video stream from the radar.
The Wifi (USB dongle) they use is a lowly one that's not very fast sadly.. I even looked into swapping it for a wifi5 or 6 but this is a custom linux OS so I doubt it would work without ssh access to it.

Luckily that delay is only when recording videos.

The new Advanced fusion stuff changes the camera subsystem a bit so that might make it worse but that's speculation on my part.
