  • FlightScope X2

Hey guys, first off thank you in advance for the replies.

Got a buddy looking to sell an X2. What can you guys tell me about it? Good monitor? Pros/Cons? The price is enticing, just want to know if its worth it. Thanks,

    TG

Depends on what you are using it for. X2 is excellent outdoors and will preform much better than mevo or other cheaper units. If you are using it indoors you need a lot of space for accurate readings with longer clubs and driver. You get all of the data parameters and no yearly fees. X2 does not read putting and struggles with short chips. If you only plan on using outdoors or at the range you can't beat it for the price.

I have a bunch of space indoors. Have like 25' ish in my garage where Im looking at throwing one. I am not super concerned about putting on it.

I personally would look at a camera based unit indoors. The X2 would be great for outdoor use but may struggle with spin and spin axis indoors. I am not sure they are calibrated for using RCT balls indoors so you may require a dot on the ball. The fact is that radar based units are finicky indoors but you may get away with it. Good luck and keep us posted with your results.

          Bubba,
What are some camera-based units you would reccomend?

Camera based units can be overhead mounted or floor based. For overhead I would consider a Uneekor or new Protee unit. The benefit is seamless lefty and righty play. Floor based camera units would be a Foresight GC3, Bushnell Launch Pro or GCquad. A used GC2 would also be good. A Skytrak unit would be lower on the list.

Again nothing against the X2. I have a Flightscope Mevo plus and a GC3. Hands down the GC3 is more accurate and less finicky indoors compared to a radar unit.
