  • New setup, new questions

    Just got my mevo a week ago or so, so far so good. just got tgc2019 installed.

    1) putting seems shaky. I setup my ball about 8 inches in front of where i normally hit from and it only registers putts if i drill it, any soft touch putt goes un registered.
    2) I played a course local to me, and the 9th and 10th holes had me 605yards away on a par 3. is that course design error? a bug of some kind? who should i contact?

    What does the setup card that comes with the mevo+ say about distance from ball to mevo+ when putting? I can not locate mine as I bought my unit 3 years ago and even if I could I believe it has been changed several times. The one thing I can say with a great degree of certainty is that at no time has Flightscope recommended placing the ball further from the unit for putting then normal hitting. I am not sure how you came by the information that said putt from 8’ 8”. Have you tried moving the ball backwards towards the unit? I believe short game distance is ball to unit is 7’ but I am not sure this includes putting. If I remember correctly at one time the go to distance from ball to unit was down to 4’. If you look through the Flightscope forum you will find a long history of putting posts and it seems there is a window distance (maybe 25-35 feet) that is a problem for the mevo+ to read. I have always felt that the mevo+ has struggled with putting. Some days it seemed to work and some days it was a struggle so I usually just set to auto-putt and call it a day. You can also watch the a98cr125 videos on unit set up for tips and suggestions.

    As far as the course discrepancy I believe you need to take the the unit to the course and go into the calibration mode and pace off the distance from tee to green and manually enter it into the unit as well as input the correct par numbers. Make sure the unit is on and in calibration mode so it links up with the Flightscope satellite.

    By your post I am guessing that you have TGC so you would have to contact them or if it’s a different software developer contact them.
