  • Issues with Mevo+ using at an outdoor range

    Hi All,

The weather has turned around in Canada so the golf courses are open.
I brought my Mevo+ to an outdoor range and this place only allowed to hit off golf mats.
The range is outside and there should be no interference with metal or moving machinery.
The hitting bays are separated with white pieces wood on the ground.

it was a little tricky to get the device level with the ball good thing i had small pieces of wood to go under my device.

I positioned the device 8 ft and the roll (0.8) and tilt 12.1 the font was all green.
it was set to outdoor mode i checked this many times to ensure the setting were correct.

I double checked and triple checked the ball alignment in the camera.

Most of golf shots were missed by the device. I have never seen this happened before.
it was not reading the ball flight and it missed about 95% of my shots.

Has anyone else had issue using the device outside?
I will try again this weekend was it due to the last firmware upgrade?
The device has worked flawless until today.

I was happy to be hitting golf balls outside instead of the garage but still the device should of read most of my shots.

Shouldn't be a valley between the unit and the ball. If you're propping it up with wood, that might be causing your read issues.

I hope it's just because propt up the device up.

The hitting Matt was higher than the device. I could not even line my ball up in the alignment screen. The piece of wood was probably 1/2 inch not a huge Valley.
The alignment screen I finally could line the ball properly.

I will try it again at the regular range I go to as it's a flatter range and all grass.

I finally brought the Mevo+ to the range again as I wanted to get base lines for my club head speed and ball speed for my driver before the weather turns in Canada.
The system was working great compared to the last time I used it. It was due to the grass range was flat.

My only beef with the setup on a grass range is when you need to move the device when you run out of grass.
I will be using is more through September to get baselines for my winter sessions in the garage.
