Would Magnets Affect the Mevo?

Hi all. This will seem like a strange question, but I’m asking because I know these units can be finicky and the last thing I want to do is permanently damage the radar or electronics inside…

Would storing a magnetic disc inside the carrying case affect the electronics of the Mevo?

I use one of those iRange sticks to hold my phone while shooting video w my Mevo. I use an iPhone and they sell this magnetic discs that match up to the iPhones mag-safe internal magnet system, and then it just snaps onto the iRange stock nice and secure. I keep two tees and 8 feet of coiled string in the carrying case so when I’m at the range I get the precise distance - I also keep the power block and cord; and then an extra iPhone lightening charging cord between the molded interior piece and the case. I’d really like to keep this magnetic disc in there too so it’s always handy.

But I wonder if over time it could negatively impact the electronics of the unit. Any insight would be much appreciated.

And heard back from FlightScope - Unfortunately, it is not recommended to have the magnet that close to the radar as it can mess with the radar's internal components which may affect how the radar tracks. So that is that…
