  • New vs Used Mevo+

Looking to build my first golf sim and have settled on the Mevo+ for numerous reasons.
But the question is: New or Used?
New ones are currently $1979 and used ones seem to be going for ~$1000 on ebay.

Is there a warranty or issues with adding sim software to a used Mevo+ that I would buying used vs new?

To my knowledge the only software that could be an issue with a used mevo+ is the E-6 software. The seller would have to include the email address and password used when he/she first logged in with when activating the E-6 iOS bundle, it is bound to the email address. As far as I know there is no way to change it or log in without it. Obviously you need to trust the seller is selling a good/undamaged unit. If the unit already has the pro package, it is locked to the unit and nothing is needed for it to remain active. The new units are slightly different and would have everything a unit would come with when new, including warranties and support. I believe you get an additional course in the E-6 bundle and the battery life of the unit is longer. I can’t comment on other software such as TGC or Awesome Golf because all I have is the E-6 bundle. I don’t know if the email address that was used initially with mevo+ unit is necessary or not. Sorry, that’s all I have to offer at this time. Good luck with what ever you decide.

Thanks for the info! I am going to be using GSPro instead of the E-6 bundle anyways so thats not a huge concern but good to know!

I recently bought a 2023 used. You can do your research to see if getting a 2023 vs previous model is worth it. Flightscope does say the warranty is transferable, which is why I targeted some thing still in warranty. Try and get proof of purchase if you can

As Shankz said If you want e6 connect, check with the seller to see if they activated the license because that is not transferable. My seller did activate the license, but was no longer using so simply gave me the login credentials. I would try and get the e6 info even if you dont plan on using it as if you do decide to sell down the road that will be valuable to an entry level SIM buyer that can't justify $250/yr for GSPRO or something like that.

I ultimately plan to go with GSPRO as well but getting my SIM off the ground has cost enough so I am just gonna rock the e6 version for a little bit until I can save some more money for upgrades like GSPRO.

fyi, you could save an additional 10% on top of the current sale price with coupon code “M10” if you purchase the unit through flightscope. Good luck!
