  • iPad to HDMI connection

I have been using an HDMI connected to my iPad and streaming onto a TV. It has been working until yesterday when my iPad updated to iOS 17 and now apparently the HDMI connector won’t display anymore. I searched and it seems to be a common issue with the new update. Wondering if anyone found a work around?

I just got a projector and was going to try next to plug in a Wi-Fi adaptor to it so I can maybe connect the project and iPad to the Mevo+ Wi-Fi and then hope airplay will work. I tried with a Roku stick, but the Roku kept unconnecting to the Mevo, probably because it didn’t like that it wasn’t connected to the internet.

What is your iPad iOS? It appears the 17 upgrade removed the capability. I’ve been using my iPad with an adaptor for two years, but as soon as I upgraded the iOS it stopped. Tried on my phone too. My friends phone had iOS 16 and it works. So pretty confident it is the iOS upgrade.

Looks like the update basically made my dongle obsolete. I had to buy an apple dongle and then my ipad had to update the dongle's firmware and then it works.
