  • Best USB camera for 60 fps Flightscope and 240 fps Kinovea

    Hi everyone,

I’m sick of the 30 fps limitation when using iOS devices and the very poor integration into the newest software release (have to enter iOS IP addresses almost every time) so I’ve decided that it’s time for an upgrade.

Currently I’m using two iPhone XR as cameras, the one in front is 5 feet (1.50m) away and has a 7$ ultra wide lense from Temu on the camera, the one on the right is roughly 10 feet (3 meters away). I can’t be further away than 5 feet with the front one.

Current light setup is 2000 lumens from to front and 1000 lumens from the side, but could easy upgrade go to 3000/2000.

Right camera needs probably 15-20 feet of USB cable to the pc, front 3 feet.

What’s the best solution in this case? Aliexpress or Amazon links appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

I hate to say it but I've jumped ship to UNEEKOR and their Swing Optix cameras. They are incredibly simple to setup, don't require ridiculous amounts of illumination and include an AI trainer that is surprisingly helpful.

If you're invested in Kinovea, I would suggest one of the industrial cameras with native support (IDS, Basler) for simplicity. If you want to go USB from China my best performance has been from these cameras from Amazon. You can read my review there, but I have been able to freeze the club without blur. I had a total of four cameras running in two instances of Kinovea recording and playback, it worked pretty well. I bought and returned just about every "high speed" USB camera on Amazon, those worked the best.
