Video processing time iOS device vs. USB camera

Hello golf sim lovers,

I upgraded my Fligbtscope Mevo+ setup from iPhone cameras to USB connected OV4689 cameras. After installing light with 8000 lumens, everything works fine.

But the processing time sucks. While the with wireless connected iPhones recorded videos were available within 3-5 seconds, it takes now up to 20 seconds until the videos are available. What’s your experience with this? Any recommendations to speed that up?

Did you make any progress with this? I'm running FS Golf 2.0 on a 5 year old PC and would like to add two USB cameras for swing analysis. I'm not sure what cameras to go with and your post has be scared. I used my iPhone last night for one video feed and it worked ok.

no progress at all, it’s even worse than before. Since summer is over I reactivated my indoor setup but can’t motivate the usb cameras to record something. They show the picture, but they don’t record during a shot.

I think I’ll go back to my old iPhone setup, quality wasn’t the best but it worked.

By the way, my best guess is that the whole Flightscope software on Windows is crap compared to Trackman. It feels like they’ve tried to copy it, but the outcome is an unfinished, unstable beta test.
