I am new to the golf simulation world. I just setup a simulator in my garage and purchased a used Mevo+ and the GSpro software. My mid to low irons seemed to be off by 20 to 25 yards. I know I can carry my 7I 170 yards but on the simulator I am only getting 152-156 carry. I know I put a lot of back spin with my irons and have a higher trajectory than most. Would this have an influence on my carry rate on the simulator? My Driver seems to be accurate getting drives 275 - 305, fairway woods and long irons seem good as well. It seems to affect my mid to short irons. My chips and pitch shots seem to register as they should as well. I have my tee to screen distance at 9’6” and my tee to mevo is 8’. I have tried changing distances from tee to mevo any where from 6.5 to 9.5 and same results. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Would a factory reset be an idea to try?

We see this comment quite often. The reality is that the shot you are making in the simulator with a 7-iron is accurate. It is basic physics with the carry number being three calculations ball speed, vertical launch angle, and spin.
We will always advise you use an RCT ball and make sure you are getting an accurate spin number. If the spin is being estimated instead of measured, you will see the spin number in italics. If this is the case and you are not using an RCT ball or using the metallic dot on the ball correctly, then complete those changes first. If spin is still being calculated, increase the flight time of the ball by increasing your tee to screen distance. Radars need additional distance to measure the rotation speed in flight.
