  • Mevo gen 2 issues

Feels like the spin on this unit is too high. And angle of attack for irons too low.. plus low point doesn’t make sense.Which equals shorter carries for me. My setup follows the proper instructions to a tee

anyone else run into excessive spin issues and wrong angle of attack? Which shows my ball flying well short

be great if the app had a calibration mode like they have for the face impact. You enter a verified spin and it accepts that as well as a lasered carry. Than it can alter its algorithms correctly

talked to tech support many times. But something isn’t adding up

In my opinion. Maybe it is the flight scope app.. awesome golf gives me slightly more realistic numbers

    anyone else notice this ?

Can you post a couple shots and we can read the data. We want to see at least four bad shots and we can diagnose what is happening.

One question would be is any data point is being shown in Italics.

No italics. I will try and send some more from my iPad. That has the face and club data as well. This was pre club data / face impact launch

I can change elevation or do range ball mode . But why ? I’m using new pro v 1 and outdoors where it should read more accurately

Than I switched to range ball mode. But I think this boosts up the carry ..

These are indoor. Funny enough they seem a little more accurate than outdoors

Setup perfectly with how they recommend

Please don’t think I am doubting what you are experiencing but I am a little confused because it looks like you have 3 pictures, each from a different location. In the 1 outdoor photo I would say that you need to move the club stand and bag because it could interfere with tracking the ball flight especially if you are hitting draws and I am not sure if the chain link fence would be an issue. Are you using ProV1RCT balls or ProV1’s with the metallic dot because most of the screen shots just show standard for ball type except the 2 which show range ball. One other issue that comes to mind from what I have read, hitting off a mat can decrease ball spin, not with driver obviously, so that could be an issue. As far as low point is concerned, a negative number means the low point is behind the ball and a positive number means the low point is in front of the ball so what I am seeing in your pictures seems accurate. Again please don’t think I am questioning your results, I am just trying to understand what is going on here. Please note that I am by no means an expert on this but I have had a mevo+ since they first came out and I used it in many different locations and set ups so I I have seen a few things that FS support could not figure out. I also regularly set up my mevo+ along with my Gc3 and get very similar numbers. As far as PreludeSam’s goes, his opinions and suggestions are usually spot on.

                          edit: changed increase to decrease

I was showing all the areas I’ve used it and have taken pics.Didnt get a pic of it on the grass during my sessions yet . But used it there as well

will move that bag stand next time as that may cause issues.Ive wondered about the fence as well 🤔.Took it in to an indoor trackman facility and it was all over the map.But tech support said the new overhead io trackman with their WiFi signals can cause massive Interference.Would say indoors is the most accurate.outdoors I’ve used both range balls and pro v1’s with no stickers. The range balls are bad , so that doesn’t count at all and usually just turn the system off.My only other option is to use a range finder and laser the ball groupings from where I hit from. The ground is very wet and roll is non existent. So it should be true carry

maybe I’m looking to much into this. And should just trust it for what it is.Its not a $25k fully loaded trackman. But some of the carry yardages I get are head scratchers at times. But it does catch every swing I’ve made

and the low point and angle of attack show some good readings.Maybe I’ve beaten my fat shot issues and don’t realize it.Or the old adage feel Isn’t real.

I have used mine at an outdoor range as well and had the same issue with the condition with the range balls so I have just tried to concentrate on club data. I have also had my mevo+ pick up the shots hit by the person next to be because they were hitting on a diagonal and crossing over my mevo’ s path, talk about crazy results. I have hit at a range with stall dividers and if the flight path had to much curve the numbers were funky or nonexistent. Like I said in my previous post when I hit with both the Mevo+ and the GC3 the numbers are pretty consistent across both but there are a few misreads from the mevo+ but I have had some questionable shots with the GC3 too. I have only used both the mevo+ and GC3 together in indoor flight mode but when my back problems subside I will look to get them both set up on the outdoor range and see what happens. Hopefully you can get this solved.
