Flightscope spin rates and metallic stickers

I use my Flightscope outdoors...but hitting into a net which is over 20feet away.

I get very inconsistent spin rates. I get an occasional spin rate of about 4000 when hitting 7 irons, when most are between 7000-8000.. Now when i say occasional I talking about 20%. The 4000 spin rate is about what you get when there is no sticker.

Spin rates are more consistent when the stickers are new.

How quickly do your stickers deteriorate?

My best guess s that the stickers deteriorate because of how they impact the net....almost as is they lose their reflectivity after a couple impacts.

Is there anything i can do to improve spin rate measurement?

Have you tried different mats? For some reason i get very low spinrates on some mats. I mostly use stickers for driver and woods and they seem to last until they peel off.

My metal stickers last as long as the ball. I stop using them as soon as they look frayed a bit.

I visited Flightscope HQ in Orlando a few weeks ago. They are definitely of the view that the stickers worst best when they are new.

I have been using both Flightscope and GC2 simultaneously during my fittings for the last four months, I have 22 feet of ball flight before the ball hits the net. I can attest that using new stickers is a must in order to get the correct spin readings. As they wear you start getting odd readings as you mentioned in your original post. You are bang on, but I am pretty sure they last a little longer than just a few hits from what I have seen so far, just can't say exactly how long though.
