    GSX / TGC questions/problems.

So I have everything loaded up and set per the instructions here. Protee interface is open. Bluetooth connected. GSX showing green "CONNECTED" for both input and output BUT,
When I open TGC and try to Tee Off, I hit a shot on GC2 and nothing happens. So I noticed that I don't see any data updating on the GSX screen after a shot either.
One step I didn't complete is to enter an activation code for the Protee portal. Still haven't got a reply with my activation code but my understanding was that GSX interfaces with GC2 to bring the data in and then Protee interfaces to send the shot data to TGC. But if this is the case, shouldn't I at least expect to see my shot data updated on the GSX status screen, regardless of whether or not Protee interface or Portal is up? Or am I missing something? My thinking was that, while waiting for Protee to send me my Protee Portal Activation code, I could at least test the GC2/GSX interface but that does not appear to be working even though everything looks good (see photo below).

Can someone please assist/advise? I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get any additional support from Protee now that it's the weekend and I'm chomping at the bit to check out TGC w/ GC2. Unfortunately, because of the PGA merchandise show this week, I haven't been able to close with Par2Pro on my screen, netting, etc.. either so just trying to get something going this weekend.

    Thanks all.

I assume you're referring to the ProTee Interface and not the ProTee portal??? The ProTee portal is just for ProTee users. You will certainly need the ProTee Interface software and an activation key. Send ProTee a request for the download and an activation key for the "ProTee Interface".

Once you have the Protee Interface installed with a key... Open the Interface (it will appear in your system tray after opening the desktop icon). Then open GSX and connect. Finally, open TGC and you should be set to go. You will want to review Vance's thread related to ProTee Interface settings for TGC and GC2 as well.

Protee interface is already activated and running. Already took care of that. If I don't need the Protee PORTAL activated for everything to work that is good news. But still back to my original question. Everything is set up and connected per the forum instructions but I don't see any shot data updating on GSX and no signs of life when I hit my tee shot in TGC.

      1) Does GSX status update with shot information every time you hit a shot, regardless of whether or not you have Protee Portal/TGC running? Again just trying to troubleshoot one section at a time.

      2) With the intermittent Bluetooth issues mentioned on this forum: I am using a new gaming desktop with a built in Bluetooth card (no external adapter). I don't see any issues with the connection as every time I check status it shows "paired" automatically. Is it still possible that I have a Bluetooth related issue that's causing me to not get data from GC2 back to GSX status screen? Or is the fact that that it shows Foresight/GC2 "paired" in my Bluetooth device settings an indication that my Bluetooth connection is fine and there is something else wrong? I know most here are using an external Bluetooth adapter but I just assumed it was because their PCs did not come with Bluetooth capability. Am I wrong in assuming this?

      Thanks all.

What firmware is you GC2 using? I had this same problem at first, and the problem ended up being that the GC2 had old firmware that was causing the data to not go through.

Not sure if this is fixed but the issue is in your settings on using TGC. There's one in ProTee and GSX.

              1) yes even if TGC is not loaded. You can hit and see data in both gsx and protee interface. If it's not working there it won't work in tgc. Try hitting a ball and seeing data on the gc2 LCD. Then toggle the connection button off. Hit another ball. Toggle back on. Hit another ball. See if you get any ball data in gsx. Some have had luck by disabling power saving on the Bluetooth adapter.

2)don't know. We know gc2's are sensitive to the blue tooth adapters. We also know that proximity between the Bluetooth adapter and the gc2 affects things. The adapters that are known to work are cheap. So I bet a lot of people give up and buy the external adapter. That being said you have the hard part down which is to get the input connection showing as connected.

              good luck!
