GC2 missing putts and chips

So, my curiosity has the better of me on this. I have the plastic protective case, but still running on the original flash, with a standard spare (came with the unit). Wondering, since the Super Flash is larger, does the flash port truly need to be modified to adapt to the newer flash? Does this truly cause misreads with the cases installed and newer flashes? It appears the metal cases are similar in dimension... First time I've come across this info and trying to prepare for the day I have to take the plunge on a Super Flash. Seems like a huge oversight on the part of Foresight if they failed to take this into account, unless they've modified the newer units to accommodate the newer flashes. If this is the case, and they haven't made this a known issue, that's pretty $*!&&y on their part!

The width is 1-1/8" The height is 5/8"

This is really weird. I use a cce mat, my gc2 is even with the hitting surface. I have a case, and the only time I get a misread is when the light is red and not green.. When it's green, I never get a misread.. very odd. Especially since you've tried it with 2 different gc2s.... ??????

thanks that is for the smaller flash module thats always been around, mine are the same and the super flash is a 5/8 wider and a 1/4 taller then the original flash as this was 3/4 x 3/8 the super flash is 1 5/8 x 5/8 the opening is 1 1/16 x 5/8 it might be a non issue but the flash is not being used to its full extent IMO

Please post a picture of the super flash you say that you have, my unit is only 7 months old, and when I talked to fs and sent them the serial number from the flash I was told it was a super flash. As a side note the size of the opening is a non issue for problem I am having because the shots it is missing the flash is not even triggered.

It sounds like the same problem I had years ago with my first GC2. I raised it about an inch above the mat surface and it has worked flawlessly ever since. Also... Is there any flooring exposed between the mat and the GC2? I had concrete exposed between the mat and GC2 and that caused some issues as well. The concrete was a lot brighter than the mat and I think the contrast messed with the camera. If none of this works, try to run calibration on it.

I noticed with mine that it works better with an even height surface from the gc2 to the ball. I had it on a small square of hitting mat about 10" from the hitting mat. It would not read consistently. Once I put it on a piece that was touching the mat it started working perfectly.

This is true, but it depends on the mat. I've used a few different mats, and they've had varying pile heights. If you're using a thin low pile mat, even height works well. If you're using a thicker mat, like the True Feel, elevating the GC2 about an inch above the mat works best. This is due to the bounce effect. The lower pile mats tend to launch the ball a bit differently than the thicker mats. The ball seems to spring off the lower mats a bit more. I'm confident that it's the problem is the height of the unit. Just play with at different heights until it's working.

Now I am really confused. The flash I was told that was a "super flash" is smaller than the one you have but larger than the standard. What is the model and rev on the flash you have? Mine is 6700-0700 Rev X2.

I believe there are two superflash revisions. Foresight Europe on youtube has a superflash video that shows the slightly smaller size you have (early revision I imagine) and I have a larger one like aeroburner's, that was installed in January. I believe both are superflashes.
