I got mine yesterday. It does seem a little flimsy, maybe. I didn't get much chance to use it as my 1 1/2 year old kept trying to steal golf balls from me... It also comes with that blue film to protect the acrylic, which I still need to take off.

I guess if I hit it with a shank, it will probably hold up OK, but it seems like the whole thing would just fall apart.

Take my initial review with a grain of salt though.... I'm also wondering if you never wanted to move it, if you could glue the acrylic to the wood and make it stronger?

i put it back into the original plastic housing and then put that in the new case...i extra like it now. everything lines up better including the power cable. and the acrylic is so much stronger than the original plastic housing. not getting any missed shots either

I got mine yesterday and used it for the first time last night. I think it is very nice looking, but might fall apart if hit at the right angle. My only complaint is that my GC2 was only registering about half of the shots with the plastic piece with the two holes in it in place. When I removed that piece, my GC2 picked up everything. Wondering if it has to do with the flash unit which does not have a hole cut out for it. I might cut out a hole there.

Did you removed the blue film?? I have never missed a shot with this case.

If you hit the case really hard it might fall apart but it won't damage the GC2, and you can always assemble it again. If you glue it, it won't fall apart. That same shot without the case, might damage the GC2.
I think this case is better than the metal one because the display can be placed in angle and is more confortable looking at it, you don't need to walk one step to look over the display, and it protects the GC2 really well, it might not take a direct driver shot like the steel one, but should take shanks and bounces without issues. I think it protects good enough as it is, I don't feel the need to glue it, but if gluing it makes you swing more confident, you should do it. Another plus is the appearance, I love how it looks in my sim room, too much investment in my sim room to put the GC2 in an industrial cage.
The only downside might be the open back, but not for me because of the way I have my sim room. It might be easier to make a hole in one than hit the back of it I believe.

I cleaned the piece I had removed really well and put it back in place. I have been using it ever since with no missed shots. Haven't hit the enclosure either, but it does make me much less nervous about letting others hit on my sim.

Anyone hve HMT and use this? HMT has he 90 degree angled wire that plugs in to the GC2?

From the pics of the cutout it seems like it should be ok but would be great to verify.

He now has version 2.0 listed. Can anyone comment on this? Any previous buyers?

I have the original and it looks like he just added a piece for the rear of the case (something that I added to my original). The case has been great and would recommend for anyone looking for a nice looking solid protection.
