Just wanted some opinions on the accuracy of the gc2.so here's what I have. I went into golf galaxy today for a club fitting. I have my own clubs I hit very well just wanted to get them sailed in a little more. I started with an 8 iron which is about my 145 club. Hit about 10 shots and we looked at the number and everything checked out with my distances of 145. Now here's where I'm puzzled. I hit my 7 iron which is my 155 club and I'm nuking this 7 iron 195 carry and spin At around 450 which what he told me is what your pros hit and all my shots where dead online. now when I play like I said I hit around 150. Should I trust these numbers or what. I'm just so confused about it.

You should look at the numbers on the unit itself, vs on the screen, as the software can modify carry.
Also 450 spin? That's gotta be a typo. Certainly not what the pros hit. That's probably less backspin than a topped shot. -
A 7 iron should spin between 5500 and 8000 rpms... Rarely more and rarely less. My GC2 is accurate, but these numbers certainly are not. Something is definitely off. These guys who work in the big box stores in often have no clue!Comment

Correct my spin was about 4600 but there was another spin number her showed me that was really low. Wish I would have taken a picture. Yea the guy was a PGA professionalComment

Get all the numbers...ball speed, spin, side spin, launch angle and carry. That'll tell the whole story.
Get them off the on board readout and not the software.
GC2 is as accurate as they get indoors. But software can spit out whatever you want it to...especially at a big box store.
And 4500 spin is way too low. If you had the ball speed for 190+ carry with a 7, which it probably was jacked up, you'd want 7000rpm+.Comment

One other thing to add. This has also happened to me when I was doing a club comparison with my 6 iron and a demo 6 iron. Took the demo 6 iron over and had them measure the loft. The demo 6 iron was 5 degrees lower in loft than mine. The lofts can be jacked up as well as the GC2 being turned up.Comment

You mention that the stats on the screen maybe different from that produced by the fsx software, surely everything being equal zero wind same temperature etc the figures should be the same ?Comment
