Finally got my quad today. Here are some photos of the unboxing. It sure is sexy and looking forward to hitting some balls tonight. Stay tuned for a review.

This is one of those pain points you get for being an early adopter. I'm sure the demand would have been what foresight expected if they offered a discount for the early purchasers. After dropping 18K I would be rather pissed the thing didn't work out the gate though. Especially having to pay 3K for software that is still very much still in beta. How can you be having connectivity issues? Didn't they make sure this was working for shipping the units? Anyway, sounds like you are being very patient so that is good. I know they will get things worked out but jeez. That is a lot of money to have issues like this.

Any luck on setup? Any tips? I got my GCQ last night and will be setting up today. They emailed me the 3.0 fsx. I figured there would be bugs.

FSX v3.0 was supposed to be released almost 2 weeks ago. It obviously has some bugs, that they haven't done a general release. I had a few issues with v2.4 that they have apparently addressed in v3.0, so I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I was was tempted to jump in and buy a GCQ, but I'm going to hold off until the summer. There was no benefit to buying it now (other than getting it first), as the early adopters don't get any discount.
I usually dive in and buy new tech... but given the price of this, I'll wait until the teething bugs have been ironed out before jumping in!

I'm looking forward to reading some more opinions on the GCQ as more people get them.

So far so good for mine this thing is very well built. I opted for the back pack carrying case and glad I did because it has some weight to it. As far as play it works great except I can't get fsx to read using the USB cable. Any ideas? I prob just need to call text support but been busy. As far as jumping in on this purchase early, I actually worked a deal with them in dec where they sent me a GC2 for 2 months then I traded up for the quad and got 100 percent credit for the GC2 cost towards the quad. Comparing the GC2 and the quad so far, the quad seems to be more accurate there were a few shots where I would scratch my head with the GC2 but not so far with the quad. As far as quality the GC2 felt like if I dropped it then it would break this quad feels like I could run it over and I would be good. Clearly not going to try it. Now if I can just get fsx to work

Do you have FSX 3.0? Pretty sure that is needed to communicate with the Quad.

Yes you need the beta (RC version) of FSX 3.0 to use he quad. From my posts it took me several hours to get thing working with FS linked to my desktop via remote connection.

Once you get get it working it's amazing. FSX is now so fast and connection is instant. About that backpack, mark cross field told me he was getting one in Europe as well and I think it sounds great. How much was it?

RCorsa you input on QC4 is much appreciated. It is great that FSX start up has been accelerated. What do you think about the FSX graphics compared to previous version? Thanks.

The back pack is nice they traded me for the cover and case for my GC2 as I maid a deal and only had it for 2 months. The back pack is nice but they never told me a price. I do have the 3.0 but haven't had the time to get it working

How are you comparing this? The GCQ is twice as accurate - however the accuracy on the GC2 is so good, I don't see how you can possibly tell the difference?
