Agreed, not all pros give good advice. I had a lesson with a local pro and it set me back probably 6 months.

Shankygolf is one of the good ones though. He has been around for a while helping out forum members, more so on the other site. Check him out.

To be honest guys I am a PGA Professional from the UK and have what I consider a good understanding of the golf swing. However I am new to this type of technology and that is why I asked the question. Seeing what somebody is doing wrong is very easy, what your body has to feel to correct the problems is not so easy. One mans meat is another mans poison as the saying goes. I agree that a good position at the top helps a lot in getting the club back to impact with less compensation. I am still learning about the swing and the players requirements in order to improve and I have been playing for 35 years and been a pro for 20. I didn't mean to start am argument but was asking some advice about the figures. My path was about 3 degrees from the inside with an angle of attack at about 4.5 degrees and the club face was closed slightly to the path and less open to target causing a pull hook. It is my bad shot and I can correct it by aiming the clubface slightly right at address, but that feels like I'm giving in to a fault. I appreciate everybody's input.

Ah a fellow UK pro! I'd be checking your grip before looking at swing, sounds to me like you are getting pretty good numbers on most things. I'd be happy to talk at some point if you'd like to catch up (phone, facetime, skype) and discuss some of the things I look for. Always happy to share and discuss & learn from others.

Good to know. Question... Why do you consider opening the clubface slightly at address improper? Many great players do this. If you think about it... You are rotating the clubface slightly through impact. If you're leading edge is a couple of degrees open at address (behind the ball) it is closing as it is delivered through impact. So, wouldn't it actually be square when it's a couple of degrees open an inch behind the ball (at address)? Just a thought...

Oh and BTW... I love a good debate about the golf swing! No arguing here. I love this game and love to hear different views and opinions. I've learned most everything I know about the game from trying to understand what others teach.
