  • Tilt Calibration Software

hi..i was on foresight website and cant seem to find a download for the Tilt Calibration Software. i just received my gc2 and have no setup at home at this time. i took it to the indoor golf facility where we play twice a week in the winter . they use AboutGolf sims and are pretty much dead on my outdoor numbers when im there... after our round i set it up gc2 and hit 5 drivers...im at 240ish carry/3400 backspin on the About Golf sim (same as my outdoor numbers) and gc2 was showing 190's carry and 1900's backspin..i thought i might try the Tilt Calibration Software..before i take it back to the indoor facility when im alone and can spend more time making sure of level /alignment of the monittor....im new to the gc2 and seems like its pretty common for rookies to have problems..i have TGC and FSX and got it all working no problems...hit some putts and chips ingame.was great short chips and putts were registering......just waiting on my sim frame to arrive so i can join the tour....anyone know where i can download the software ,would greatly appreciate..is something i would want to have around for future use also..thanks for any help..

AboutGolf sims CAN be accurate, but I find they're usually not maintained or poorly setup.

Do these sims use the marked balls?

Make sure your GC2 is at least 1"+ above the hitting mat. All the tilt calibration will do is reset what the unit sees as "level". You don't need to level the unit while using it. It has internal leveling.

If your tilt is off, your launch angle and spin axis would be off/exaggerated. It won't make you hit the ball further.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet those AboutGolf sims were jacked up/not using marked balls.

thanks for the info ...dont know if these machines are jacked ..i just know they translate with my outdoor distances...we have a around the lake par 4 that is a 240 carry to got directly at green at my course(have lasered it also) this is my comfortable carry with driver and hit across unless the wind is no good...so i see that carry at indoor also...iron distances are pretty much the same at indoor for what club i pull...i had 5 mins after we played and just setup the gc2 eyeballing the alignment and directly on the level side mat..(not up an inch) i feel pretty comfortable with the aboutgolf numbers but not with the way i set up the gc2 as was my first time...i booked an hour there tomorrow so i can go alone and ill try the up an inch...ive read the raise it a bit on these forums before but it seems strange that when u put your ball on a tee 2" or so you are in effect lowering the gc2 that much as compared to off the mat shots....anyways like i said..im a rookie and will get this figured out...i did get TGC up and running first try so that was a shocker..lol

PM an email address and I can share the tilt software.

But make sure, if you do run it, that your GC2 is very, very level. You're overriding the factory set setting for level, which I'm sure they had pretty damn level to begin with.
