HMT behaves awkward

Hey GSF! Max from Germany with a question: Have the GC2+HMT for a while. Something I started noticing with the HMT: Especially with direct sunlight I get a lot of misreads of the HMT on my Irons. Numbers from the Driver (black) and Hybrids (dark grey) are fine - but most of my Iron Shots don't get measured properly by the HMT. I am pretty sure the little stickers are correct etc. Did anybody else have that issue? Thinking about sending the device to Foresight - just wanted more background if this is just a shortcoming of the system or something "broken" with the device.

Try downloading the new firmware and using the 1 sticker mode. This may be better in the sunlight as these are reflective stickers. I assume can be affected by sunlight. Less stickers mean less misreads even though you are gathering less data.

The reflective stckers act something like bright headlights for the hmt to measure, but If your irons are chromed, they are going to reflect alot of sunlight, and the whole clubface is seen as one big headlight so hmt can't measure anything. Kind of reminds me of why the Tesla car crashed into the side of a truck during autopilot, the system couldn't differentiate the reflective side of the truck with the horizon, and so ploughed straight into the truck thinking nothing was there.

ok. thanks - so it seems this more of a general issue with the system and not so much something that is broken. i have also found out, that the stickers - especially on my irons because of the lower contrast - need to be changed very often because they loose the reflective glow fast and stop working. i would consider this whole HMT/sticker thing to be the one the big downside of the GC2 system. not sure how to improve this though.
