Why does FSX driving range show different carry than GC2???

I just noticed last night while hitting a few balls on the FSX driving range that the carry numbers on the GC2 display were 2 to 4 yards higher than what my carry numbers were on FSX. All parameters are zeroed out (elevation, wind, etc). Why would they be different if FSX is taking the data directly from GC2? It's only been a few weeks that I've had my FSX up I did not notice this before.

Can someone tell me why this would be?

What firmware version are you running?

I need to check when I get home. Is there a known issue with any of the current versions? It was the latest as of a couple months ago but not sure if there's an issue with that version and the latest FSX.

i don't have fsx but it was the only thing that makes sense unless foresight actually used different algorithms for each.

I have FR1 and I'm not sure if FSX has the same menu but it could be that you need to select the wait on spin option.

Probably because the range is not level. In Fr1 the range is a couple of feet uphill.

I spoke with Foresight and he said it is a coding difference in FSX that was added for the GCQ barometric pressure reading and that he can remote in to correct.

Correct. There is a setting in FSX that says "use local barometric pressure". You can uncheck it and they should match up again. I noticed the same issue last week.

Can you enter manual barometric pressure if you untick it?
