  • FSX Support

I know most people on here are using TGC, but I use FSX almost exclusively now. Although I own both TGC and Protee, I would rather play in FSX.

Over the last few months I've found several bugs in FSX and have reported them to Foresight. With the first few, I got a reply... however in the last few months they don't bother.
Does anyone else ever report bugs to Foresight?

There are lots of annoying little things in FSX that are starting to put me off it - and the fact that they never get addressed is really starting to annoy me. I reported a few issues back in November, and they're still there in the latest version.

FSX cost a lot of money. I appreciate there will always be bugs with software... however I expect them to be acknowledged and updates issued.

I think I'll roll back to 3.0 as well. I don't recall having any issues with it. The 0.1 update came out within a day or two. Having the bluetooth connect within seconds was nice.

Good to know I may roll back to 3.0 too. Tonight it took 3-mins to pair. Rebooted and tried again with my BT mouse & keyboard quickly turned off and it only took 1-min. Could've been coincidence.

Got an email from Foresight this morning saying that V3.1.0 is now available for download.
I had an appointment this morning, so am leaving the house later than normal - so I had a spare hour to kill.
Downloaded and installed V3.1.0... and guess what?!... it connected to my GC2 in 11 seconds!

I played 9 holes, and couldn't really see any differences. It had erased all my clubs - so I'll need to put them all back in. I always pick which club I'm hitting from a list, so that the FSX Performance stats are right.
I also noticed that when I hit a shot, the mini map disappears. I'll need to see if there is a setting to switch this on again, as I like seeing the ball travel on the minimap - as it's the best way of gauging where the ball will land!

I had a quick look at the skills section, and you can now set up your own challenges. I'll have to have a proper play with that when I have more time too.

The real test is when I try and complete the next 9 holes tonight... does it add them to My Performance or not. That's a bug I've reported several times - so fingers crossed!

I purchased the Quad and FSX about 6 weeks ago. The Quad had a 7-8 week delay in shipping so I am finally supposed to receive it next week. After reading this i asked Foresight to send me the download instructions for FSX so i would be good to go once the Quad arrives. The download worked well. p3eps, keep us posted, I would love to know how it works out for you.

Downloaded 3.1 tonight. Really like the ability to build my own skills challenges. BT connected in 20-secs. Only notice a couple minor bugs like the green on the driving range disappeared once until I changed yardage again. As mentioned above had to input clubs again but overall seems good so far. Tenton Pines had an update (1.8) but in my folder it seemed I already had 1.9. Oh well, we'll see.

Foresight by far has the worst buying experience I have ever encountered. FSX is exactly as stated, so promising, but missing the mark, at the highest price point to boot.
I don't understand why everyone is determined to use older versions on there gc2. I run whatever is newest. 4. 1 I think. I use USB for FSX but Bluetooth works too. I use Bluetooth for fs1 and JNPG. I REALLY dislike foresight as a company and that is sad, but the product works for me and Andy helped me replace my flash for 40 bucks vs 400 from foresight. FSX is still the worst choice as far as polished. But the club fitting feature are where it shines but JNPG has something almost as good. I wish I could try TGC somehow, a demo. It looks great.

V3.1.0.21 popped up in my downloads today. Anyone tried it yet or know what it addresses? Feature notes aren't very detailed. Installing now and will update any noticed differences.

Haven't seen that yet. I haven't used it since Thursday though.
Unfortunately the My Performance bug I mentioned about still wasn't fixed in V3.0.1.
I've also had a few issues with an unplayable lie.
Castle Stuart for example - play the ball into some bushes. Sometimes it takes 5+ shots to get out as it's an unplayable lie. Surely there should be a button to take a penalty drop instead of having to keep thrashing at the bushes knowing it's never going to come out!

New user to FSX and hoping someone can answer this for me!

Every time I launch FSX it loads to "Player 1." Is there any way to automatically load to my profile?

                    Thanks!

How did you replace for 40 vs 400? I've been quoted at 500. The profit margin on the flash modules seems like price gouging/exploitation to me. I've had great customer service experiences with Justin and Taylor. This is more of an issue with the pricing to me.

Would love to know the answer to this as well!
