  • HMT sticker re-order

Does anyone have any aftermarket options for re-ordering more HMT stickers? I put a call into Foresight and they are $120 for 500 stickers... Thanks!

So I pulled the trigger on the items I mentioned in my previous post above... I've punched a dot from the new roll of tape (identical brand and color as the tape used for the stickers/strips I've purchased from par2pro). I've placed the dot on one of the OEM Foresight strips, next to the factory dots. Can you tell which dot it is? I apologize for the washed out picture due to the flash. Here's a clue...It's the top left dot. That looks bang-on to me! $12 plus shipping for a 1" by 30 foot roll. Questions have been asked about this life hack, and why one would do such a thing...? I think this rationalizes it.

(The flash was used to illustrate the reflectivity of the dots. The dots are glowing as a result. Under indirect light, they all appear grayish-white).

Hey guys. Sorry I've been slammed with work. So here's the update:

Unfortunately, my experience with the items I purchased has been less than stellar. I believe the punch i bought is just a millimeter or so too big. It's really interesting. The single dot works in single marker mode (Irons/ Putter) however, the four dots do not work. I've tried different clubs and compared them side-by-side with the OEM stickers, and the OEM stickers function properly.

Here's my take... I truly believe the reflective tape is spot-on. I think the problem is the size of the punch I'm using. It appears just slightly larger than the OEM dots. I'm thinking (and I believe I read somewhere) that the OEM size is 4mm. The punch I purchased was 5mm. The punch I purchased also doesn't cut a perfectly pristine circular shape--not sure that that would affect things, as it cuts very close to a clean round dot.

I'm in search of a 4mm punch now, and I'll report back once I've found one and tested. The reflective material appears identical to OEM, so I'm sure it's the size of the markers vs. factory specs

My wife has a crafting machine called a Cricut that is basically a computer-controlled cutting machine. If you can't find a 4mm punch, send me a PM and I'm sure she could program it to cut out as many 4mm circles as you want.

Hey, that's great Andy... I just ordered a leather-type punch on Amazon. It has various punch sizes... 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4 and 4.5 mm. Some of the reviews say it punches great through paper, etc,... it should be here Thursday. If that doesn't work, I'll send you a section of tape and we can try to hit the exact size. Thank you!

Just looking for updates on these. Considering a new LM and this seems like one of the things that are a "Nice to know" before you purchase.

So, the jury's still out. I ordered a different hole punch, but wasn't really thinking and I ended up with more of a leather punch. This still works on paper, but its primary use is creating the actual hole and not recovering the dot portion that becomes more of a by-product of the punch. The dot ended up getting crammed into the hollow portion of the "tooth" of the punch, if that makes sense? Anyway, it was unusable.

I have two more punches on order to try out. I'll take andygg up on his offer above if these punches don't work out, but I'd like to find the cheapest and most convenient solution possible for everyone. On a positive note, I took some digital calipers to the OEM dots and discovered they are 3/16". So that's what's been ordered with the new punches. Kinda explains why the 5mm were noticeably bigger once they were applied to the club face. I'm hoping this will work. The two punches are coming from Johann's Fabrics. Once they arrive, I'll report back. Hopefully one of them turns out to be a viable option. Good news is they run $7 and $4 respectively. So add one of those to the cost of the tape and it could be a super cheap alternative. Fingers crossed!

Appreciate the persistence Point! Finally found time to get my HMT connected, so I'm ready to start slappin some stickers on my clubs.

I thought this DIY has been put to bed a while ago. On eBay, please search for 3/16 punch (i.e., 3/16" or just under 5mm hole). I used these DIY dots with great results.

I believe I woke it up again when I found what appears to be the exact material Forsight uses. I guess I missed the 3/16" whole punch in your original posts. Sounds like we can put it to rest now.

                  This work?

Seems similar to the 3M stuff you mentioned

Tried out the HMT last night using the reflective tape that Point had suggested, and while I am getting some club head data, it's usually not all showing up and have yet to see the impact point work. Going to try again with a few of the OEM stickers I have, but initial thought is that it could be a lighting issue. Would be interested to hear if anyone else experienced something similar.

Hey blewis, definitely give it a shot. That little punch cuts them pretty clean. They're so inexpensive that i think amazon will make you either buy 2 or 3 of them or wait until you combine them with another order. For some reason they wouldn't let me purchase just one when I tried. Not worth them spending the money on shipping i assume. If you buy 2 you'll have a spare for when the first one dulls out eventually.

HMT worked perfectly when I swapped out the DIY stickers for the OEM stickers, so looks like I'll be trying the different punch.

New hole punch does not appear to have fixed my issue. Went as far as replacing DIY stickers with OEM stickers one-by-one and as soon as I put the fourth OEM sticker on, started getting strike location to show up. Will say also, OEM stickers appear to have a tiny bit more sparkle to them.

Anyone had success with other brands? I had been trying the ones Point suggested from Tape Depot.

@bk1106 Which exact adhesive stickers did you buy? It sounds like the DIYers here are having poor results, Curious if anyone got a diy to work before I drop $130 on foresight stickers.
                  Thnaks.

As I just bought a used HMT with only 20 stickers left, I'm wondering if anyone here has ordered directly from Foresight? What is the process?
