  • New Bluetooth Problem

Wasn't sure where to post this so I'll start here. My laptop recently updated to what I think is Windows 10 Creator. The Bluetooth screen under Devices seems to have been redesigned (thanks MS). In any case, my laptop, which worked perfectly fine until last week, no longer sees my GC2 so I can't pair / connect. The device shows up in Device Manager under Bluetooth, but not Bluetooth and Other Devices under settings. I've moved the laptop right on top of the GC2, so it is not a distance issue.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Any troubleshooting suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Possible firewall issue?

Same thing happened to me. I googled how to downgrade windows 10. You can try deleting the Bluetooth then re adding it.

When say 'deleting bluetooth' do you mean the device? I tried deleting and reinstalling the GC2 but that didn't work. Did the downgrade work for you?

Update: Good News / Bad News sort of thing. Good news is that I downgraded and can pair and connect my GC2. Bad news is that my only shutdown options are to update and shutdown or update and restart. Any idea how to stop Windows 10 from automatically updating?

I had to disable network firewall to make mine work if that helps

There's a setting to keep it from upgrading. Google will show you how. Downgrading and turning off auto upgrade worked for me

I Googled around and it turns out that in Windows Home, the ability to stop updates has been crippled. I'm likely to upgrade to Pro to get more control. It's what I use on my main desktop where I don't have any of these issues.
