I have hitting platform Velcro to floor it doesn't move have 1 ft x 4 ft long mat inserted into platform have center line of skytrak driving range lined up with a Bosch professional GLL 30 laser throw laser line goes through laser dot from skytrak. Skytrak parallel with mat and laser line, from laser dot to screen 10' 9" 129 inches 2.25 inches right or left of c/l = 1 degree 4.5 inches = 2 degrees. I have read on this forum that HLA is +- 2 degrees. I love my skytrak for range and games. but you can strike ball 1 to3 degrees right of c/l and skytrak some times will show 2 degrees left of c/l. skytrak is great for price. I think it would get frustrating playing sims golf when every shot counts. My? for members that have played both skytrak and GC2 does the GC2 have better accuracy with HLA and better side spin numbers, I would think it would at 3 x the price of skytrak thanks

Gc2 is+/- 1 for hla. Theres no way to verify spin but I took my skytrak to the range and it showed the right shape around 90 - 95% of the time. I did the same with gc2 and it never missed. Chipping is where you'll see the biggest difference. Skytrak will often miss short chips and if you turn on the patch in tgc to compensate, you won't get accurate spin readings for short chips. Gc2 is also faster shot to show. Is it 3x better? Maybe not but if you're willing to spend the money, you won't regret upgrading.

thanks Inorkuo have just finished hitting balls checking # used callaway ball faced lable to skytrak unit, had laser line on to screen line went through c/l of ball. Had shots that hit c/l of laser line gave 0.0 side angle, some hit c/l gave -2 degrees or + 2 degrees. Did have 1 shot hit c/l that gave side angle of 4 degrees left, most all shots in +/- 2 degrees. Guess being retired tool maker. I just wont perfection,But in golf there is not very many perfected shots. Have to play your foul balls

It does get frustrating for sure playing tournaments when you lose shots based on the hardware. It's really tough on the short game, you have to pick which trade off you want to go with. Kind of the same trade off on the hardware, pay a lot more to get better results or take the wider tolerance range, smaller FOV and longer shot times. If you've got the coin and are willing to pay, GC2 is the ticket.

Yes I know now to get better results you need best unit, and like most things you have to pay for it. this is why I haven't got a sims game yet. Don't think I will play online anyway so at this time just use skytrak game improvement games.
