  • New to me GC2 with blank disk and therefore no simulator software

I just bought a used GC2 and the Simulation Software disk made in 2010 is blank.
    1. I found the drivers online but is there a way to get the simulation software either as a link or on a flash drive etc?
    2. Will the old software work on Windows 10?
    3. Any other suggestions other than contacting the seller and Foresight Sports?

    Thanks Guys

In order to have working Foresight simulation software (from 2010), you would need to have a hardware dongle. The dongle would look similar to a USB flash drive.
Did you buy this package second hand, and did the seller state that you were getting simulation software?

What does the disk look like?
Foresight do 2 different versions of their software. FSX costs about $2500, and FR1 is now discontinued, but would still cost about $500-800. Anyone selling a GC2 would make a big deal of the included software because of the value.
If there was just a disk in the picture and it wasn't mentioned in the description, then you can safely assume that this is not FSX or FR1.

So I’ve just got a very expensive launch monitor.
I don’t see the software by itself come up for sale used very often. Where is the best place to shop new and where is a good ranking of the various simulation softwares available?

so ATROVARIOUS what are you looking to do with the GC2 are you looking to stay and get FR1 or FSX or are you looking for different software there a few options out there JNPG, TGC or E6 is the most popular i would google all three on youtube and take a look at them and see what fits best for you. I do have a copy of TGC if interested for sale.

aeroburner I like what I see when it comes to JNPG. Can you own JNPG or is it subscription only. What about the others?
Are demo's or all available? I've heard good things about FSX as well as far as game improvement goes. Can you own FSX?

FSX is a foresight software that is purchased and have a decent game improvement but can not be demoed, TGC is owner based and can be bought i do not think it can be demoed E6 is owner based and can be demoed and JNPG is subscription based and can be paid for yearly or monthly for all LM except for skytrak at the moment but can not be demoed

Can the subscription based products be used in multiple locations ie can I use it at a LM and computer at the office and then at a different LM and computer when I get home?
What kind of bandwidth do these us up?
What is the typical monthly fee and are they all month to month, annual or multi year agreements?

sorry you are going beyond my help on some of this but you can play off two different computers and different LM as i do it. i think skytrak would be a issue on this one not sure i would reach out to the ones you are looking at getting and ask them to confirm the rest. the subscription based is month to month or yearly

Where did you get the package from? Ebay?
If it was me, and the seller had listed "simulation software" was included, then I'd be going back to them and getting it sorted.
You'd be paying an extra $500+ onto the price of the GC2 for FR1, and probably $1500+ for FSX if they were supposed to be included in the sale.
