I am now exchanging e mails with a sales rep of Foresight and they are offering the 2018 putting module for free if you buy a CGQ in November or December. He says that they are going to sell "Putting Basic" for $2,500 when it will be released.

Putting module? Is that hardware, software or both? This is the first I’ve heard of it. Also, any idea if it will be compatible with the GC2 / HMT?

It is software. I think it is only on offer for the CGQ.

Wow really. I talked to one of the Foresight sales rep and he kept changing prices every time I talked to him. I really wondered what the real price was to begin with, since he started off high then went down low.

I personally don't like that sales tactic because it's not good in a long term. I hope Foresight changes that policy and puts a restriction on that. I didn't feel like I was treated well as a customer.

is the rep name Tim? He originally started with like $3-4k higher at first then I realized that buying it from online was cheaper so I told him that and he dropped the price to 3-4k lol.

I am sure he started pretty high with you.

No it is Justin. Are you not talking about the refurbished ones? These can be bought online but not the new ones. Refurbished online without FSX is $10,500. New CG2 + HMT + FSX = $15,500. Minus Black Friday discount of $1,500 = $14,000.

This is not a sale, I was offered the same pricing early this year.

there you go. Feels like I’m getting cheated here. Just have a fixed pricing for one unit for christ’s sake. I can understand if u buy in bulk but come on one unit.

I have GC2/FR1 which is 75% used in my garage simulator and mainly for game improvement. I am considering adding a refurbished HMT+FSX or moving up to the GCQ+FSX. The "premium" to get GCQ+FSX (and sell my GC2) is roughly $6000. Does anyone think that is worth it? This putting module is interesting and bigger hitting area/alignment is nice but still its a fair amount of premium.

NOt sure. I have never been on a GCQ. Sure would be nice to have alignment perfect though.

Biggest negative of GCQ is that you can only use it with Foresight software. Until it can be used with 3rd party (officially or unofficially), I would not do it.

Putting mode is interesting. Does it only work with the GCQ or does the HMT also work?

I called Foresight on this. The rep I spoke with said the putting module will be aGCQ only feature.

I heard they are coming out with a new ceiling mount ball reader next year with a large area to pick up the ball for both right and left handed golfers .

I would be all over that as I’m a lefty with a kid that is a right hander. Biggest drawback with those overhead systems is they aren’t portable and I like to go to the range with the Quad. Let us know if you hear more as I haven’t heard anything about a new launch monitor. Probably kill the value of the Quad.

That would be cool. There's one out now call Real Sports or something.
