Easiest Software Setup for GC2

I just purchased a Refurbished GC2. They wouldn't allow me to purchase FR1 and I didn't feel like spending an extra $2500 on the FSX. I really am just looking for some fun with casual rounds and a range feature. I really am not technically savvy and am looking for the easiest setup. I've seen a lot topics that walk through the step by step, but honest, they seem very convoluted with a lot of steps. Does anyone happen to know if there is anything simple to setup?

FR1 is about as easy as it gets if you can find it.

Pomp’s, there are several people here that love sim golf and will help you out. Protee is very good about remoting in and setting you up. Same with PG and their tour. They will remote in and get you going.

FR1 is a dead piece of software. It will still work but it’s done being developed. FSX is excellent but expensive for what you get. You could buy both TGC and PErfect Golf and have the top two sims for less money than FSX. I use FSX but mainly for online golf lessons with shanky golf because you can setup a camera to automatically record 3 seconds swings with ball and club data. Otherwise I rarely use FSX.

I should add I am assuming FR1 with 5 courses will run $700-800 and over time I am betting that price will continue to drop on the resale market.

I actually never got around to setting up simulation software. Looking to do something very soon. I'm still debating between TGC, ProTee and JNPG. I doubt I'm going FSX given the cost and then the additional cost for courses.
