  • Circuit board or flash?

I fear my GC2 has crapped out - not reading any shots.
Is there a way to tell if it's the flash or the circuit board??

Unit isn't flashing at all when hitting balls. No data showing up.
(I saw a thread about someone making and selling replacement circuit boards but didn't see any information on diagnostics on determining what the problem with the unit might be...)

I need my sim back :-(

get a new flash from andy. sometimes when the flash starts to go, you will still see a flash but you get a lot of no reads, or missing data. other times, the bulb will completely shatter and in those cases you don't see a flash and the gc2 will just go from green to red with no dashes or any other indication that it tried to read a shot.

When mine needed a flash, the screen displayed dashes.

The bulbs will get a film of metal particles from the electrodes on the inside after a while. If the film blocks enough light then you will get dashes because the camera cannot adequately image the ball. If the trigger coil fails or the bulb breaks there will be no flash and it will just go from green to red like you are describing.
