FSX software and sounds

Just got my GC2 + HMT set up with FSX software. I am not getting any sounds or Commentary during Game play. Have any others had this issues? I can clink on the sounds in the sound folder and they play fine, but not during game play. Foresight Tech support seems to be stumped.

Also the greens seem really fast and I tried Slow and Soft setting last time but did not see any difference than Normal settings? What are others seeing?

I've noticed that some courses have sound and others don't but you should hear commentary if it's enabled. Are you going through any kind of receiver or directly via HDMI?

I've always felt the greens are rather slow in FSX, what are you putting on?

I'm going directly via HDMI to projector and it's volume is maxed. I can hear things fine from youtube plugged into projector. Commentary is turned on (none button is empty).

Putting is still interesting. Seems I have to hit fairly hard to get the GC2 to pick up the shot. Typical putt is about 6.5 MPH ball speed and a travel distance of 3.5 yds. I putt on about 2 inches from end of CCE matt, then on thin green felt like carpet on plywood. Which would be very pretty fast greens after initial 2 inches. Working on system to slide GC2 forward for putting then back for everything else, but seems to always have a hard time reading putts on the thing stuff. Maybe cause I want to putt slow (2-4 MPH)

I would make sure Windows is sending the audio out the HDMI device when you are using FSX, other than that I'm not sure what it could be.

The GC2 is only going to measure the initial roll so dropping off the CCE shouldn't be an issue. You might just be on the edge of the visual boundary, have you tried putting from the hitting location to see if acts differently? The speed you mention sound about right but I'd have to double check. I did some testing on a 13 stimp and could pick up few inch putts without issue so a minimum is not a problem.
