QCQuad and FSX Discount?

For those in this forum who have purchased the QCQuad and FSX software: anyone get a price lower than the list price?

I am a GC2 owner and have been happy with it but want more features only offered by the HMT or GCQuad. I have read all the posts I could find in this forum on this topic so I get all of the trade-offs between the two options. There were some posts that seemed to indicate some variability in pricing based on the sales rep invoked and how the buyer negotiated.

Any insights appreciated!

If you have FR1 they will credit $1500 against FSX if you return the dongle. Other than that I haven’t myself been able to get them any lower than MSRP on the GCQ hardware with club data and FSX. Courses they will come down on pretty fast but you need to care about that. They also claim the putting module will be $2500 but is “free” right now with GCQ purchase but I’ll believe that when I see it. And putting is still a month away despite claiming end of Dec and being advertised on their site now. Don’t trade in the GC2 if you go GCQ as you will get more for it third party.

They had a special for the week of the PGA show that you can try and get. $16.5 for everything.

I have to say I’m pretty disappointed in FS right now. I took a fairly big hit on my one year only GC2-HMT for a quad last year as one of the early adapters. It took them about 4 months (well into the summer) to get the HMT aspect working correctly (I know BC I worked with them hand in hand and sent them a ton of data and my unit for Eval). Now less than 6 months later they do a firmware upgrade for putting and I hear nothing from the team or my sales guy about it. They of course offer it free to “new customers” but per folks at the PGA show, want an additional $2500 from guys like me! I may have to sell my quad/FSX license and jump to TM now that they have face impact sensing....

I ordered a Quad on the show special as was told the putting was NOT included. Did the $16.5 include the new putting, FSX and Quad with ball and club? Did anyone get a quote for a Quad that included putting for free? My understanding it was free until the end of Dec and had nothing to do with the show. If that is not the case I'll have to discuss this with my rep before proceeding with the transaction.

RCorsa, I'd contact your rep and complain about this. I mean WTF, with the specials anyone who purchased prior to this year should get that add on for free just for reimbursement for the growing pains of the initial release.

I think everyone should get it who had the quad already too. That’s pretty lame. I didn’t get a detailed quote for that special. My biggest hesitation on buying from them was that I was going to have to fork down another $1500 on top of the purchase price for taxes since they are in CA. I managed to find a very gently used one.

Yeah, I'm thinking that $16.5 was without putting. Pretty sure my rep quoted me that amount then I reminded him I already had FSX. Kinda weird, I'm not even sure the putting portion is even released yet!

Putting is another 30 days away. I am surprised they are sticking to the $2500 after December, just figured that was a way to drive sales end of year. In Dec best I saw was full MSRP but w/ putting.

I called my Rep and he basically blew me off. He said that the putting deal was over. Offered me nothing in return. Foresight doesnt care. They already have my 20 grand. In fact FSX is finally getting a real update after basically being a beta for most of 2017. Guess what! No free software updates either...They want $500 for the update...This company really has gone downhill with regards to CS. Buyers beware........

Update... pulled the trigger on the HMT, set it up last night, and am pretty happy that I'm getting the functionality I'm getting for half the cost of the GCQ. A slick package and putting are not worth the cost to me. I have what I wanted. It's not perfect but I'm happy especially with the new FSX 2018 software.

Lol. I am looking for GC Quad too in replacement of GC2 but I still don’t know what the actual price for the unit is. I don’t think I’ll get any software from Foresight for sure since it looks like a beta to me... maybe FR1 but I don’t know if that’s compatible with GC Quad. Corsa are you thinking about selling it?

Yah. Thinking about selling mine. I’ll probably sell it as a package with my computer that has FSX installed and gust give the buyer my details and login info so they can use it and all the courses I’ve purchased.

Honestly ita its a great unit but I’m pissed and the Trackman Rep has been emailing me so if I can get it to work in my space I’m dumping Foresight.
