    GC2 Poly shield

I'm getting my purchase ready with my sales rep. Do you guys use the Poly Shield? Is it worth spending a $100?

Definitely better than no protection. I have both and prefer the metal cradle for piece of mind. It’s practically indestructible and elevates gc2 the height of my hitting mat.

brock I know you prefer the metal cradle, but do you think the poly is sufficient, now that you've seen both? I just bought a used GC2 and it comes with the plastic one...

I haven’t had an incident yet that I think the poly would’nt have handled fine. My worry was more with having friends over and somebody not being mindful with a club or something. The poly version looks better than the cradle. There’s a 3rd option on eBay that’s sturdy and price friendly at $150. Can’t go wrong with a case of any kind. A lot of people don’t use anything.

I use the poly one, and have done for 3 years.
I don’t think the ‘shank tank’ metal one is compatible with the HMT?

I put the case on to protect the screen in the unlikely event of a rebound hitting it. My GC2 / HMT come in the house with me when not in use - and sticking the poly shield on each time only takes 10 seconds extra when setting up.

Just got it...really like it! It also raises the unit up a little.
