GC2 with e6

I'm trying to get my GC2 to work with a demo of e6. I changed the following to True to in the ProTee Golf Interface:

# Use_E6:
# Option that indicates if E6 software is used instead of ProTee software
# Value: True or False
# Default:False
Use_E6=True

And in GSX I changed Use The Golf Club to off. I'm getting a reading when I have GSX open so I know it is reading my shots, but nothing is happening in e6.

Am I missing any steps? Thanks!

Never mind. I got it. I had to toggle the "The Golf Club" switch in ProTee Golf Interface.

I sold my e6 and do not remember how to get this setup so I can get the new user instructions on how to get E6 working though the protee interface and gsx. How do you bring up the settings while protee interface is open to make the changes to the code?

What if I only have a TGC toggle? Want to try E6 but my protee only has the TGC switch.

- E6 file ‘defaults.stg’: szSimName=“ProTeeUnited”
- protee interface: ‘use TGC’ = no
- GSX: TGC tab : ‘use TGC’ = off

There is no E6 toggle.

Just in case you may be interested, I'm selling my e6 licence (working with Protee Interface, 15 standard courses).

Did all of that, still won’t work. Amazing how complicated this has to be.

A dumb question maybe: did you save the settings, close all the apps, then reload it in the right order: open ProTee Interface, open GSX, connect GSX, open E6?

yep, a few times. Is there a forum topic that goes thru the step by step? I didnt see one.


In my protee setting file, I had to add a line under the "Use_TGC=False" line to say "Use_E6=True". Then I save and check its still there. But there was no Use_E6 line already there. Is that correct?


^^^ not correct. I got it now. In that settings file way down I found the Use E6 line of code. I had been adding a line under the TGC bit.

For me, the line with E6 was already in the file.
I just had to change 'false' to 'true'.
Is that OK now ?

By the way, once you have modified the file, you can let it with Use_E6=True and just alternate between E6 and TGC through the toggles and button in the ProTee interface and GSX.
