GC2 powers up with Green Light but doesnt turn on

Hello,

GC2 powers up w/ green light but doesn't turn on. The LCD screen is blank and doesn't connect, doesn't read.
Anyone any idea?

Reinstalling the firmware? I tried but PC doesn't even recognize the GC2 even it's connected w/ USB cable. Thx tho.

Unplug battery and then Power cycle maybe?

Yes find the video on foresight site on replace the battery tbwill show you how to open it. Unplug gc2, unplug battery, hit power to drain residual power in gc2. Plug battery back in, power on.

Hit the power button a couple times. Probably unecessary but if you have it open worth trying.

Open up the case and disconnect the battery. Then reconnect after 10 seconds or so. You may have a software hang and nothing but killing the power to the processor will reset it.

How do I drain the residual power?

It drains itself. If you have the battery disconnected and the charger unplugged all you are trying to do is discharge any internal capacitors. The power switch only enables connection of the battery and/ or charger connection.;

I still don't have anything on LCD screen. Could this be CPU problem?

You can check ribbon cables. They can come looses. There is a ribbon cable connecting the lcd. After that, you are beyond my knowledge for fixing it. Good luck.

Basically, it is judged that the cable connection between the cpu board and the display screen is faulty. Try to open the inspection, whether the cable buckle is tight, whether the gold finger is completely inserted, and the cable is damaged. The gc2 cable is connected to the display. The line has been bent, so it will age and damage after a long time. This is the current situation. Basically 80% of the display cannot be displayed. This is the reason, I hope to help you.
