    GC2 software options

    Hi all

i currently have a flightscope xi which I use in my garage with vx and skills app. It is decent but the cost of e6 is prohibitive if I want courses

I'm considering getting a used gc2 on eBay which comes without software. What are my software options? I'd really only need a driving range/skills type thing with maybe a couple of courses. I've read PG is about $250 a year (not sure what that would be in U.K.? And what does that get you, a number of courses)?

Is there a foresight driving range type iPad app?

    any other options?

    thanks in advance

If you get a GC2 that has a serial number starting with "A", you can use it with Apple products (iPad). The Foresight Performance iPad app is free and will show your ball flight from above and the side.

For computer software, JNPG is $250 per year but it was just bought by Trackman. They are going to stop selling new subscriptions to Skytrak users on June 18, so I assume GC2 is going to stop as well. I believe it has something like 100 courses, as well as online tournaments. I'm not real familiar with it.
My PGA instructor and I were discussing different sims and he obviously knows I have a ST. He told me if I don't have JNPG by June 15th I will not be able to use

TGC is a one time $1000 purchase and you will get an upgrade to TGC 2019 for free when it comes out. It has over 150k courses, so searching through them can be a little tedious. But there are lots of quality ones. The driving range is a little weird in that you have to turn on automatic shot rewinds (mulligans) so you can keep hitting. You can enable shot recording so all of your shots are stored in the cloud to a spreadsheet. Then you can calculate average distances per club on your own. You can also play online tournaments for free.

You can get FSX 2018 from Foresight with 5 courses and driving range for something ridiculous like $3k. Unfortunately there is nothing for a one time purchase of a couple hundred dollars for very basic functionality like you are asking for.

FYI, right now Foresight has refurbished GC2 + HMT (clubhead data) + FSX 2018 + gaming laptop for $10k. That might be more than you are looking to spend but it is a good deal if you want to go all-in with GC2.

It's not officially supported by Foresight, but e6 can be used with a GC2 as well.

For your requirements Foresight FR1 with a few courses would be more then adequate If you can find someone to sell you a dongle there are many people on this board who can supply the FR1 software and courses.. If you find a dongle send me a PM about the software.

Thanks very much for the messages guys. It sounds like there are a few options and a dongle could be useful. I will keep you updated.

      Cheers
