Foresight refurb GC2 or GC2A?

If I understand correctly, GC2A is the newer model and compatible with Apple iPhone and iPad.?

If correct, it would seem that foresight is only selling GC2 monitors ... both as new and refurbed?? Which would seem to be the older versions.... can anyone shed some light for me??? I would most likely use laptop, but may also want to use FSX app on iPhone.

Also... if getting a refurbished.... what does this actually mean.... could it come with scratches and marks, and are any of the internals refreshed???

... and is there any other considerations I should have on a refurbished -v- just buying one 2nd hand ( to justify the price difference)

Sorry... one other question, can someone help me understand the price comparison to a GCQuad. This seems to be $14k ball only & $18k ball/club. Does this include FSX software and courses... or is that in addition??

2) GC2A's A stands for Apple compatibility.

3) what Foresight told me was they take everything apart, replace them into new parts and sell them. I got my HMT refurb but it looked like new to me. Think of it as an Apple refurbished, except that I think Foresight changes outer case also.

4) I think refurbished is a really good deal. The only difference is perhaps not all parts are replaced, comes with 6 months warranty instead of 1year, and price is much cheaper on refurbished model.

5) That price is with FSX with 5 courses. FSX costs $3k. But I heard you have to get FSX if you buy GC Quad unless you already have one. Putting software is separate at $2500. And if you have an older FSX, upgrading to FSX2018 is additional $500 (yeah money money money).

If you buy a used second hand unit and ever need to send it in for repairs,foresight will charge you a $500 registration fee. Of course you may never need to send it in, but you won’t have to pay that with a refurb

Just to clarify the registration fee. This is to become a registered customer with Foresight. If you have purchased another product ( FSX, GC2 or HMT ) through them you would be registered. So, it isn't for each component.

You should ask Foresight but AFAIK everything they sell are GC2A.

Update- spoke to rep and confirmed they no longer call GC2a... and all Refurbs are Apple enabled.

It may have changed, but last time I contacted Foresight about the refurbished (Cert Preowned) gc2's (back in January), they told me the cost did NOT include the FSX software. I was told FSX is an additional $3000.00.

If you really want the FSX software, you're almost better off getting a brand new gc2.

That must be why they didn't answer my follow up questions. Personally I'm surprised anyone would pay that price - or are the only FSX users the ones who upgraded from FR1 at the reduced price?

If someone has sent a unit in to be refurbished with Foresight within the last 6 months and it was a GC2 (not the "a" version) will it come back back apple enabled?

They used to charge $500 to upgrade to apple compatible. They don’t have a flat refurb fee. They will just go through it and charge you for what needs to be fixed.
