  • HMT 4 dot sticker placement

I received my HMT and used it this weekend. I was just curious on the placement of the two center dots. I went by the instruction placement sheet they send but the center dots seems kind of low. For those of you that know your stickers are placed correctly what is the best spot. How many lines down works best? Thanks

3 dots on the toe and 1 on the heal. For irons the two dots are in line between the 6th and 7th groove up from the bottom line. The other two are at the top and bottom of the toe. For driver and woods place them similarly but there isn't enough lines for 6-7 grooves.

Thanks, that is how I currently have them placed. It just seemed low to put them in between the 6-7 grooves. Thank you for your help.

Anytime. Try one dot too. It's pretty good.

Yeah I just have this placement on my 7 iron and driver and the rest one dot.

That is just a guide. You can place the middle dots on whatever level you want them. It will affect the reading of a center hit, but you can put them wherever it works best for you. I don't think they are low though.

Thanks I just noticed sometime it did not read where the ball made impact with club so thought maybe dots in wrong place. Thanks again

It depends on the club. I changed from Taylormade RSi2 irons to the new P790’s last year. The 3 iron of the P790’s doesn’t have many grooves, as it’s smaller.
I spoke with Foresight - and they said to make the middle row the middle (sweet) spot of the club. The instruction sheet is just a guide.
Between 6&7 on my 3 iron is almost the top!!

Interesting to hear. Thanks for the info. So I guess it should always be customizable to its respective club number.

The important thing is they are on the same row or it’ll show as having a bad lie angle

Another thing to be careful off is the actual placement of the two middle dots relative to each other. A bit uneven can give you wonky lie angle readings.

Was encouraged to make a dot only option for those who want easily peeled dots but don't need tabs. You get 300 dots per strip instead of 136! You can find them on eBay. Will post a link below.
