GC2 for sale with curious serial number

Hello, I am looking at a GC2 for sale. According to the seller it connects to his IPad through Bluetooth. But it doesn’t have an A in front of the number. The sticker on the back is very strange. I called Foresight and they couldn’t help me. Never seen one like this. Can anyone help with more info. Maybe it’s so early and this was the original style but then why does it work with his IPad?

Foresight will upgrade a non apple version to apple compatible for $500. Maybe at some point that one was upgraded? I don’t know if they would have changed the serial number if it was upgraded

Looks like a scam to me somehow. Especially when Foresight couldn't help you.

The person from Foresight said they issue a new serial number after the Apple upgrade. But he said he never heard of this tipe or sticker. The seller is the second owner so maybe it was updated. Who knows, but currently low confidence. Also worried this GC2 is very old.

I can tell you mine was upgraded by FS and they did not change the serial number. It works with Apple products, has a super flash, and no A in the s/n. Obviously buyer beware, but that fact alone wouldn’t scare me.
