really depends on what type of courses you like. open, tree lined, water, hilly, flat. then there is the famous things to consider. from there I can suggest which ones are more well done. The majority have been revamped in the update but a few I've reviewed so far don't seem much different. Have you narrowed it down to a few?

Only thing I know I don't like are Links courses. Not a fan if a ton of water either. Maybe I should lean towards the "Famous" courses.

          Suggestions ???

Two of the ones I picked were, Castle Stuart - FSX 2018 Course, and Portmarnock Golf Club - FSX 2018 Course, because both are 4K. The one I picked just because of the course it was, was Coeur d'Alene - FSX 2018 Course, which has the floating green but other than that is nice.

How can I tell which ones are the 4K versions and does it make a difference that I will be projecting with a 1080 projector ??

The two links course I picked were the only 2 that showed the were 4K in the listing, I have a 55" 4K ULHD TV I use as a monitor, but projector is only 1080P so only will make a difference on the monitor it's self not the projector, I thought I was going to be able to get a 4K projector but the listing turned out to be a bit shady so I passed on it. Here is a post for 17 of the course on You Tube.

I have to agree that picking just two isn't easy, when I got FSX 2018 the wife and I looked at the 5 courses we got with it and then each picked two others to add. I picked Midland Putting Course and Royal Troon, picking Royal Troon simply because we had enjoyed playing it on another simulator we use to have. The Wife picked La Jolla Pines and Celtic Manor. When we did the original purchase of the Summer Saver offer Foresight Sports had we were not able to find the two the wife had picked on the sales list. When they came out with the 5 courses for $300.00 I called and talked to Rich and got a list of all the courses and the wife and I went through it picking La Jolla Pines, but opted for Castle Stuart and Portmarnock over Celtic Manor and also added Coeur d' Alene and The Olympic Club another one we had enjoyed on a different system, so we wound up with 12 courses. So picking two is a hard choice, you have to just figure what you like and want and go from there. My main reason for going with TGC was the vast array of courses it has to choose from.

The FSX stadiums are not all 4K resolution. I tried to connect the computer to a 60-inch 4k TV. I found that the image's ico icon and the stadium screen will be distorted.

I set the nvdia graphics card option, adjust the refresh rate to make the picture look less sharp, and the effect is more general. At present, the picture feeling under 1080p is still possible, purely personal.
