FSX 2018 putting/chipping practice

Can anyone tell me how I can customize the distance for putting/chipping on FSX 2018 courses?

I went to IMPROVE -> chose GREEN in one of the courses but within the game I couldn't find where I can choose where I can put the ball. All I could do was to choose the aiming (and I don't know if I can't find it but I couldn't even put it back to the original aiming either).

As far as I see it right now, it's extremely frustrating to:

1) choose the ball location for chipping/putting
2) put the aim back to its original location
3) change the looks for the putting grid as it's bunch of white dots. Very hard to read.

I went back to positionion myself around courses/greens using the driving range feature. Much more control, imo.

You can just right-click,I believe might be left, where you want the ball to be and you can practice from there. I don't know if there is a way to reset the aim other than picking a new spot. As for the slope indicators there used to be a way to adjust the intensity but that seems to have gone away. According to the manual you can hold ctrl and select "drop balls" but there is no "drop balls" option anymore so I don't know if this feature is gone or what.

Right click, left click, CTRL...none of them work for me on the green...

Yes, on the mini map and in Improve mode. Pick you course, hole and practice away. I do it all the time.
