It's adds the HMT functionality to the Quad. With the GC2 it was an add on unit. With the Quad it's enabled in software.Comment

Simply put, GC Quad only outputs ball data by default. By paying extra, it will give you additional club data. Foresight should provide you the club stickers that goes onto the clubs in order to track the club data when you purchase GC Quad regardless, so the only thing you have to do is buying the club data feature.
Putting analysis is the same thing. You pay extra and it'll track your putting too.Comment

That's interesting. I would have figured it would have just been included. It doesn't really make sense to buy a Quad without the club data. However, it could be something that you buy at a lower price as a cost saving measure, then add on the club data on later.

I'm loosely in the market for some form of a ball/club measuring device. I'm just trying to do a lot of research and get a good understanding of what's available.
