Blue tooth issues

I haven't used the blue tooth in the past but now I have a high school golfer coming over this winter who is left handed. My issue is, the GC2 doesn't always connect with my PC using blue tooth. I have called the techs at Foresight 3 times and they have been very patient and in fact, have helped each time to make it work. However, after I turn the GC2 off, it won't reconnect. I have tried everything(or I think I have), The techs had me update the program the first time, hard reset the GC2 the second time and turn off my computer completely and then restart. Again, these work initially but not later. I have had the USB cable unplugged when trying but it didn't matter. I have tried different sequences of turning the machine on but that didn't work I have Window 8.1 on my computer and it is paired to the GC21. It connects with the USB cable but would like the flexibility of not having to mess with wires. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

are you using the PC's built in bluetooth? i've had similar issues using my PC's onboard bluetooth, everyone recommends using a USB bluetooth dongle like the Asus N600 and have this attached to a USB cable and then plugged in the PC, ideally you want the dongle as close to the GC2 as possible.

Thank you Tommy for the response and the suggestion. Yes, I do have a dongle but not sure what the make is. I tried putting the dongle on a USB cable and moving it closer but that did not help either. Is one manufacture for these better than another?

I bought the ASUS USB-BT400 on Amazon for $13. I was dealing with the same issues and for the most part this has resolved my problems. I use a 6' USB extension cable I found at Walmart for maybe $5. I tie the BTdongle to the power cord so it stays anchored right next to the GC2. Drives me nuts that my brand new Dell gaming PC's built in BT won't work but for under $20 I made my problems and frustrations go away.

So here is my story. I called Foresight again and talked to a technician He told me I have to follow a sequence to make this work. Understand, I have used this same sequence many times with no success but this time it worked with him on the phone. Made me feel like a complete idiot. Turned everything off and came back a few hours late, followed the sequence and the damn thing would not work. Anyway, Pinehurst, I am going to do what you did to see if that works. Thank you for the advice.

Im playing then boom, middle of round shots no longer register. When I exit out it says gc2 still connected. Do you think Im having the same problem you're taking about? And perform the same remedy ?
