Second Hand GC2 Advise

Hello,

I am considering buying a used GC2. Initially I intend to use it in conjunction with the foresight app.

My query is, once I have laid out £3.5k for the GC2 itself are there any other costs associated to being able to use the monitor itself ? I note that the FSX mobile app is free but it asks for your registration details, therefore I assume the registration has a cost. I have also heard mention of a fee paid to foresight to register the unit. Is this relevant in my case ?

Others may know more about this than me but my understanding is:
1) After you purchase the used GC2 you will need to register it in your name with Foresight and the cost of that is $500
2) The FSX app is free to use. You will also have data on the face of the unit itself.
3) If you decide you want the full FSX software it is a $3k purchase from Foresight
4) You would also need a dongle and that is $500 (not sure if this is on top of the $3k or included)

You do not need to register the device. I have a second hand unit and did not register. Now if you want support or need service then you may have to pay at that time. If you want to use the mobile app, then you may have to register it in order to do that.

2. The FSX app is NOT free to use. You can only use it if you own a $3000 licence for FSX2018. The Foresight Performance app is free to use, but only shows data and a ball position on a graph type display.
Fine for working at the range, but not much fun as a permanent solution.
