    Questions from beginner GC2 user

Apologies if these are basic questions but I am a Skytrak user and a friend of mine gave me an GC2 that I can use for awhile. I think he’s hoping that I’ll buy it from him. (No, I’m not interested in offering it for sale). All he provided me was the unit and power cord.

    Questions
    1. If I want to run simulation software on my computer what other cords do I need?
    2. Do I need to have FSX software from Foresight to run TGC or other third party simulator software?
    3. Where or how do I download the ProTee interface?
    4. If I do buy the FSX software do I need to purchase new TGC or equivelant licenses if I already have them for SkyTrak?
    5. What is the base cost of FSX

    really appreciate any help here

Here are some answers for you
    1. Aside from the power cord there is a USB cable. I you don't have it, the GC2 can connect using bluetooth as well.
    2. NO. you just need to purchase the rights to whichever software you want to use.
    3. When you purchase TGC for simulators, they'll send you complete installation instructions. To use the GC2 you need the Protee interface as well as GSX interface. The setup is a little involved, but once done it works great
    4. FSX2018 is completely independent of TGC
    5. What is the base cost of FSX? $3800 Canadian (so roughly $2900 USD)

You might want to confirm this but when I transferred the TGC license from SkyTrak to GC2 it was a one time deal. Pretty sure you can't transfer it back to SkyTrak if you decide the GC2 isn't for you.

Do you have to pay a transfer (or any additional) fee when you transfer the TGC from SkyTrak to GC2? For example the cost of TGC is $799 for SkyTrak but $999 for GC2 (as far as I know). Do you have to pay the additional $200?

Yep, no going back if you transfer TGC from ST to GC2. What you will see on GC2 vs ST is a larger FOV, quicker shot to show time in TGC, better HLA accuracy, larger distance from unit to the ball, better short game (inside 20yds) results in TGC.
