Hi. My GC2 + HMT used to work. Now the HMT seems to not get/send any club data. HMT is properly showing "HMT Connected" on the GC2; green light on the HMT is on when the ball is in the hitting area. Dots are on the club, tried 4 and 1 dot. Any ideas? Best. Max
HMT not reading anything?

Ok. Did some more testing. I get readings once in a while. Mostly 1 dot readings. I got 1 4-dot reading with my driver. But the majority of shots - no club reading. 1. Different or more lighting does not do anything - seems not to be the problem. 2. Position of the ball in the hitting are seems not to make a difference. Close to the edge or right in the middle - same.
So it might be the stickers? I did put new stickers on - but the stickers are 2 years old, got them from Par2Pro back then. Or I read it could be the LED panel in the HMT?Last edited by Maxomoto; 11-23-2018, 01:53 PM.

Stickers don’t go bad. Try your spare flash and make sure the sticker on the club is fresh. My Courses:

Honestly, I have no idea. I sent mine in when it would only pick up 1 dot occasionally with a 4 dot club. They tested and said it worked fine. So, I paid for shipping and calibration. I get the unit back and it was exactly the same. I could tell the tester was a lefty based on the base plate configuration. I sent it back and they guessed it might be the arrays and replaced them for $500. Unit worked like new after that.

Hm. That is actually pretty bad. 500 Euros every once in a while to replace that array adds up. Where is the array? In the HMT? Would be an idea to look into it and see if this is another 10 Euro part, that they sell for 500....like their aimstick or their stickers.

I think it would be difficult to replace them. It is the LEDs that encircle the cameras on the HMT. Basically, over time/usage they will decrease in intensity and the images start to get too dark for the cameras to pick up the dots. It's not great especially since we've all been told the only wear and tear parts are the flash on the GC2 and batteries. I don't remember when the first HMTs started rolling out but we are around 5 years or so I would guess. If you have a heavily used HMT and it's one of the earlier models it maybe getting close to having this issue. I think this is only the 4th one I've heard of that is showing this so all in all that isn't horrible. It sucks to be one with it but it's not like you need to buy a new one.

Update: I ordered the reflective tape mentioned above (from Conrad) and punched round stickers out with a standard paper punch. Now I get 4-dot readings with every shot again. So it was the not so reflective stickers from Cory. Great. The tape will last quite a while. Yeah!

you never mentioned you were using third party stickers - if/when it starts happening again you'll want to use official Foresight stickers just to make sure it isn't a reflective tape issue. If the stickers you had were working and then stopped it's a sign the intensity of your LEDs are reducing. More reflective material will extend the usage period. Hopefully the old stuff was just sub par and you'll still get a bunch of use out of the arrays.

I'm sorry but I don't see the post about reflective tape from "Conrad" that you are referring to in your post???Originally posted by Maxomoto View PostUpdate: I ordered the reflective tape mentioned above (from Conrad) and punched round stickers out with a standard paper punch. How many shots would one of these arrays last? I wonder if I should remove the HMT when playing rounds. Thoughts? My Courses:

I think mmlincon you are right. The more reflective stickers from the tape (I think they are a lot more reflective than the original Foresight stickers or the ones I got from Par2Pro) improved it a bit, but after a few shots I already get a lot 1-dot readings or no readings at all again. So it seems it is the array. Will get in touch with Foresight. I think 500 Euros is absolutely ridiculous for LEDs....
