The Home Course package from Foresight $1200???

Why do they charge so much for their courses when other software packages has no issue providing the same courses?

It's actually $1250 but what is worse is it's a pre-order price that ends on Monday. What is even more worse is there are not actual pictures of the simulation course. In other words you don't know what you're buying. Since it's not coming out until the end of January I'm gonna wait and see about a PGA Show deal. No way I'm dumping $1250 sight unseen. Or maybe I'll wait and get it free with a FSX2019 upgrade! It's nice that Foresight is offering deals now but you get kinda screwed jumping in early. Just look at the limited time Pebble deal that's been there since it came out.

I just think if they gave us a break on software prices they would sell so much more. That'll never happen I know. For every one they sold at $1250 they would easily sale 10 or more at $125. I would pre-order today at that price.

Yeah, the courses are overpriced for sure. When ur not selling many that makes sense. They should have a decent market out there to bring down the prices and sell more courses. They wouldn't lose any money and they'd have happier customers.

I love playing St. Andrews on the sims that I have had it to play it on, but that price is out of my league. I would rather put that kind of money towards a trip to go play it for real.

That's a good point or a set of new high end irons! To be "fair" if you break it down, which is what I think they are thinking, the Old course would be $500 and the other three ( New, Castle, Jubiliee ) would be $250 ea. This would match the price point of Pebble. Now they say Pebble is a limited time but it's been that price or free (with purchase of upgrade) since it came out. One might think the same story is true here so no rush. Plus, this purchase would be sight unseen....I don't get that at all.

Considering they sell non-premium courses at as low as $65 each, this is an absolute joke.
At non sale price (although the sale will likely last forever - like the ‘limited’ Pebble offer) these are $500 each. At least with Pebble, you can pick JUST it for $500.

I’ve played The Old Course before. It’s about an hour and a half drive from my house. It was nice to play as a kudos thing... and would be nice to own for when friends come round - but in all honesty, it’s just another links course. I’m surrounded by them, and they all play very similar.
I can imagine The Old Course looking pretty bland on FSX2018 with its average graphics... so what are we actually paying for? Purely the name.

Personally I’d rather wait for an offer and buy 10 ‘regular’ courses at half this price.
As much as I’d love to own Pebble, I still can’t justify $500 for it. I’ve bled enough money to Foresight already by buying their overpriced software, upgrades and courses.
I don’t mind paying for the hardware as it’s worth the money (to me) and is one of the best (if not THE best) for indoor simulation... but their software is underdeveloped and full of bugs that they never address.

I agree the hardware(GC2) was worth every penny but this software come on I can’t believe they make any money. I understand Quad owners have to buy the courses as only option to play course. They say it’s a license fee they have to pay but still.

$1250 pre-order price - that sure seems like $1000 way to much. I agree new irons or a trip St Andrews would be better money spent.

Since mmlincon put FSX2019 upgrade! in his post. Do you think there's going to be FSX2019 version? I guess another $500 for some bug fixes?

Yeah I don't know but it wouldn't surprise me if there was a FSX2019 upgrade cost. We haven't seen an update in a while. Why do you think that is?

You can bet your last dollar that Foresight isn't going to be selling FSX2018 in 2020. Wouldn't that be stupid?

This is going to be their attempt at recurring software revenues.

My guess is you'll have to upgrade to FSX2019 to use The Home Course package even though you have pre-order it.

First, if you compared GCquad sales vs the other sub $500 monitors it is significant. They can spread the cost out. To date I find very little value is a famous course vs other courses. All the YouTube views of courses are invaluable. Pick an interesting course skip the name. Maybe it’s just me.
