    GC2 Dim Screen?

    Hi all and Merry Christmas.

My GC2 recently had the LCD screen go very dim and only looks clear when getting my eye level down to the ground and looking it at it from a razer thin angle - it still tracks the data accurately and performs but the screen on the launch monitor screen itself it looks washed out, searching this forum the closest I can find is a member whos entire screen itself turned off and was helped through discord reconnecting a ribbon cable but I wanted to go ahead and ask if anyones ever seen/heard of this issue before I go ahead and take my jigsaw and scalpels to the most expensive thing I'll probably ever own lol.

I had a foresight rep tell me the following to adjust contrast: With the device off if you hold the back light button down and press the power button once firmly then release both buttons a Contrast screen should appear. Try adjusting the contrast up or down a bit then hit the OK button.

Thank you for the miracle reply!!!! Seriously buddy I owe ya, if your ever looking for computers/projectors let me know.

I've been waiting on my friend to get back with the FR1 software since he hasn't been able to copy and send me the contents while away, being able to hit and see ball data clearly will make staring at the green dongle a little easier.

I have also acquired a couple of replacement LCD screen assemblies if anyone has a screen that can’t be fixed with adjusting the contrast. Replacing the screen would also take care of a broken backlight. PM me if you are interested in buying one.

I'm in the same boat as orangeman, I'd be interested as-well if you have found a way to do this.

I haven’t looked at the Bluetooth but I suspect that it is not going to be something that can be replaced. Most Bluetooth modules need custom firmware to take the data in and package it up before sending it.

The backlight on my GC2 is out. Do I need to replace the whole screen?

If you want to have a working backlight then yes you need a whole new screen. The screens come as a complete module that includes the backlight
