FSX 2018 Net Play

Would anyone be interested in testing out the Net Play with me? Based on the video from the PGA show you don't even need to play at the same time. I'm curious if this works. I've never seen anyone listed the few times I've checked it.

This is all very strange because I did not have to deal with any of this stuff when I connected with one of the tech support guys and tested out "Net Play" with him. Maybe there is something wrong with their server?

Still nothing showing on my side. There has got to be something going on with Foresight's server.... of course!
I am going to create a "Compete" -> "Closest to the Pin" contest hosted by "shellman19" and just leave it up there if anyone want to try and see if they see it.

Attached is a screenshot of the host that I created. I created the closest to the pin at Coeur d'alene.

Looking at yours, that tells me there is something wrong with my setup.... Yours says your name in there and mine does not. It's blank when I set it up.

You created an FSX Live account correct?

Baller Do you have Teton Pines? If yes, let's try Teton Pines instead... that is the course I did the testing with Foresight on so maybe that will work? I just set up a closest to the pin there.

We can try, but clearly there is something wrong with mine.... Does your name show automatically there or did you need to do something to make it show?

First I had to set up an FSX Live account/username. After that I made sure I was logged into my FSX Live account once logged on to FSX 2018. After that I did not have to do anything to make my name show up.

Yeah, I tried logging out and it wouldn't let me in. I deleted my user and re-added... tried everything. I think someone else needs to try so I can confirm there is something not right in my player setup perhaps on the Foresight side?

Yeah, here is what my screen looks like when I host: No players, not even myself in there.

Yeah. that all works for me. You can see me on the leaderboard for Coeur D'Alene as well (I see your name on there too, nice to know someone else that does those), I know it all works.

I just emailed support. Hopefully they help.

This could be due to firewalls at your location. FSX may need some ports opened to allow net play. No documentation around this so who knows. Maybe support can shed some light but I doubt you'll hear from them over the weekend

Throw on top of that that the PGA show is going on right now so chances are slim and none.

mmlincon Let me know if you want to try and log on at some point even just to see if we can see each other. don't even need to play if u don't have time.

I can remote in any time and setup a game to test. Sounds like this may actually not work based on Ballers comment below though

Yeah, I tried disabling my firewall.... Foresight responded and this is what they said:

"Regarding NetPlay there is currently an issue within FSX software, this should be resolved in the next FSX 2018 Update which should be releasing here in February!"

I have a game setup at Teton Pines that you can try to join. I can't play but we can see if you can connect or even see me.
