  • How Do "Swing Cameras" Work ????

Just ordered the inexpensive swing camera recommended here. I have no idea how they work.

Is it a continuous recorded image or do they stop and start somehow. Are/is the file stored ? If so where or how many ???

Which camera and what software route do you plan to go to capture it?

      This one: http://m.ebay.com/itm/322140083983?_mwBanner=1

As for software, I was planning on using FSX (hope that makes sense). I was under the impression that by linking the camera that was all it took.

I don't have any experience with FSX so I have no idea.

If you go into the settings you can see it. If set up, it will auto record when you take a shot and you can make it auto play after each shot when you're on the range. It stores it on your computer, as well as online.

Just plug in the cam and make sure it works in any software, and it should theoretically work in FSX, but the FSX cam settings are limited so you'll just have to mess with it or talk to someone who has the exact cam you have. Try setting it up after you get your cam and see how it goes. You can use two cams, but only one view will auto play.

        Hope that helps!

Baller....that was how I was thinking most were using these cameras. What starts and stops the recording, or does it start and stop.

The cam is always in use, but the actually recording and storing of the video is activated by the striking of a ball being registered by your system.

Baller, Do you happen to know where FSX stores the video files on local computer, I am concerned that my computer gets bogged down with large files and would like to be able to keep an eye on that. I did not know that the files were also stored locally in addition to on the Foresight servers.... Thanks for your help

Yeah, Some are stored here it looks like:

            C:\Program Files (x86)\Foresight Sports Experience\SwingVideos

But, the last one I have there is from 1/10/19 and I have lots after that... not sure what makes a video store locally or not. I am always logged in on FSX. I do have a good number of videos with 0 bytes as well, which obviously wouldn't work. (no data).

For online, you just go to: https://performance.foresightsports.com/Improve
